When Blake first got sick and we asked for people to do something good in his honor – we never expected it to take hold like it has. Knowing that our precious little boy sparked an incredible wave of positivity that has crossed the country and reached several countries around the world is both humbling and unbelievable. This movement of kindness has been the light through the darkest of times, and has shown how closely connected we really are. We are so grateful to every single participant who has demonstrated love, caring or compassion toward someone else #ForBlake.

In July of 2018, while Blake was alive, we hosted a toy drive and celebration in the park where he first stopped breathing. We collected nearly 200 toys for Rady Children’s Hospital – the largest single family donation the CVICU had received to date.

In September of 2019, as part of Blake’s memorial, we hosted a kids pajama drive. We collected nearly 420 pairs of children’s pajamas that were donated to local homeless and rescue shelters.

In Blake’s honor, we plan to continue to make a difference in the community and the lives of children in need. Details of the next event or initiative to come…
