Drive-Thru Surprise

Sitting in a 15-vehicle deep line at the drive-thru, it was good to have the time for taking in sights and sounds of a strip mall.
Bicyclists preppin’ for a farrago of trails up the road at Lakeside.
Yokel kids filling their bellies before their baseball game at the lake.
Huh? My turn?
Rollin’ up to the window, I’m prepared to pay for me and the car behind me.
Little did I know the bellwether in front of me did the same.
