When I first heard about what happened to Blake I felt beside myself and couldn’t find the right way to be there for Leah Rodig Davis and her family. I did what I felt was right and followed my instincts along the way. When she shared that Blake had passed I felt back at that place of loss not knowing what to do, say, not do, not say but thanks to their thoughtful request to give to others they have helped so many of us. In that spirit, myself along with our colleagues from the San Diego County Suicide Prevention Council got together for Blake and Leah, to honor him with #gooddeedsforblake. We were able to raise $2,400 for the CVICU (where Blake was taken care of), we made 20 Activity Bags for Infants and Toddlers of the CVICU and we also supported the Ronald McDonald House meal service by serving those families staying at Rady’s and the Ronald McDonald House. Here are some pictures of these moments that have been happening behind the scenes since Blake passed. Thank you to everyone that participated and supported our effort we couldn’t have done it without you! Much love to the Davis family from all of us at SPC and my personal family and friends.
